Ms. Cartwright is the VP of Health and Life Sciences at Microsoft, leading cloud engineering, incubation, and strategy for the health industry at Microsoft. With a successful track record of founding and scaling disruptive technologies, Heather joined Microsoft’s Artificial Intelligence and Research team in 2015, leading future technology moonshots and bringing them to reality. Her work led to her recognition in 2019 as one of the Top 50 Women in Healthcare IT and she is credited with building and launching the first public cloud platform for protected health information (FHIR).
Cartwright specializes in consumer-focused innovation and is widely recognized for her successful track record in multiple industries. She brings experience to the Radio Systems Board in strategic innovation, operations, engineering, finance, P&L management, and marketing leadership across many industries. Prior to Microsoft, Heather spent 10 years at Amazon building, launching, and operating numerous businesses, including Amazon Fresh, Amazon’s Automotive & Motorcycle store and the automotive industry’s first online Part Finder technology, and leading the Consumer Electronics business. Heather began her career at Ford Motor Company, spearheading multiple roles, including early development on the Ford Fusion which went on to become the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year.
