Nate Deno

As Chief Revenue Officer, Nathan leads a diverse portfolio that includes sales teams, Direct to Consumer (DTC) channels, international business operations, and the Category and Channel Development team. His leadership ensures the effective promotion and distribution of PetSafe Brands' innovative products across various channels. Before joining PetSafe Brands, Nathan was at Chewy.com for over five years. There, he served as Vice President and General Manager of Merchandising. He led Category Management, Private Brand Development, Sourcing, and Chewy's dropship program and grew revenue by over 5x across consumables and supplies. Before this, he was Vice President of Merchandise Operations, establishing Chewy's merchandising team and best practices to help enable Chewy's IPO. Prior to joining Chewy, Nathan served five years with Amazon as Divisional Merchandise Manager (DMM) in two businesses. In Shoes, he established partnerships with NIKE and Under Armour and led the negotiation strategy for the Fashion division. As the DMM of Books, he helped build a textbook rental business, reversing the decades-old practice of academic publisher price increases and created the first-ever rental revenue share business. Before joining Amazon, Nathan served seven years at Target, holding various roles in Merchandising, Technology, and Organizational Effectiveness. Among other accomplishments, at Target, Nathan led their Q4 Toy strategy and deployed insight-driven strategies to become LEGO's #1 global seller. He also led the development of Target's social commerce experience, Cartwheel, which, at the time, was the largest commercial integration with Facebook. Earlier in his career, Nathan served in various significant roles in consulting, technology, and process improvement, bringing a rich blend of expertise to his current position. Nathan earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance and Information Systems at the University of Minnesota—Carlson School of Management. Nathan is deeply committed to philanthropy and volunteers with non-profit youth leadership organizations. Nathan is also passionate about outdoor activities and sports, particularly skiing and fishing, and enjoys creative pursuits such as photography and woodworking. Nathan lives with his wife, Sara, and their two teenage daughters, balancing a fulfilling family life with his professional and philanthropic endeavors.
